Fläkt Woods expects opportunities at Ecobuild
Fläkt Woods will be exhibiting at this year’s Ecobuild on stand N1642. The Company will be displaying their new e3co Crown unit and promoting the e3 line range at the ExCel Centre, London.
Ecobuild is the world's biggest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment. Combining a 1000 exhibitor-strong product showcase, it is happening from Tuesday 20 March to Thursday 22 March 2012.
Because buildings account for 40% of the total energy consumption in the UK, Fläkt Woods research and development has been focussed on improving energy performance in the building sector, helping customers to achieve the EU´s ambitious climate and energy objectives for 2020, including the reduction of CO2 emissions and a 20% energy saving.
Important aspects of the strengthening of the Energy Performance in Buildings Directive include the requirement for all buildings built after 31st December 2020 to achieve high energy standards and to be powered to a large extent by renewable energy.
The Company is constantly developing new product ranges to deliver performance in line with current building regulations, meeting the drive for tighter efficiencies, as well as conforming to ever changing circumstances, by providing ventilation on demand.
Fläkt Woods will exhibit their new series of energy recovery units, known as e3co Crown, which promise affordability and quality from a renowned name within the HVAC industry.
The e3co Crown is a technological innovation, with high efficiency EUROVENT certified counter flow aluminium heat plate exchangers, which are used to help capture the energy contained in normally exhausted buildings and utilise it to treat the incoming outdoor ventilation air, providing energy recovery efficiencies in excess of 90%.
Also being promoted are a new range of energy efficient fans that maximise installed efficiency and minimise energy consumption, the new e3-Line concept, includes the Company’s JM range of fans, fitted with IE2 motors for greater efficiency.
The e3-Line concept offers products and complete systems designed to provide excellent indoor air quality efficiently. Fläkt Woods has produced models for calculating the annual energy consumption for individual fans, allowing customers to calculate energy cost, and consumption of Fläkt Woods' fans by calculating the Life Cycle Cost for any fan.
Commenting on the opportunities presented by Ecobuild Allan Hurdle, Fläkt Woods Managing Director for Fans said “Our displayed technology demonstrates an effective means of reducing energy costs, which draws on our extensive range of ventilation and air treatment experience.”
“We’re looking forward to being able to show our new ability to meet the BREEAM ventilation and energy standards, while improving indoor air quality and reducing total HVAC equipment capacity, confident our offerings will become the first choice, for contractors and building owners alike”
